Authentic Community
Authentic Christianity means living out our faith with honesty, conviction, and grace. It is not about image or performance. It is about following Jesus with open hearts, even when it gets messy.
When we stay rooted in God’s Word and encourage one another with truth, we grow in faith that is sincere and steady. We are here to walk this out together — real people, trusting a real Savior, living out real faith.

At Cedar Pointe Church, Worship is a real, honest response to who God is and what He has done in our lives. We show up to express our love, our gratitude, and our need for Him.
Heartfelt Praise & Worship keeps us grounded. It pulls our attention off ourselves and centers it on Christ. It is where we bring our joy, our struggles, our questions — everything — and lay it at His feet.
Worship is not about style. It is about surrender. We worship because He is worthy. We worship together because there is something powerful about lifting up the Name of Jesus as One Body.
About Our Pastor
Pastor Larry Staton has a heart for preaching and leading people into a genuinely deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. He is a graduate of Wichita State University majoring in Business Administration and went on to receive a Masters of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
He has served as Senior Pastor of First Christian Church in Petoskey, Michigan and Senior Pastor at Cornerstone Chapel in Cheboygan, Michigan. He also served as an Associate Pastor at Central Christian Church in Wichita, Ks.
More recently, he has retired after serving as a Financial Advisor in Wichita. Larry is very active with Wichita State Track & Field as a team photographer and “Encouragement Coach”.
Larry is married to Kathi and they have been blessed with two daughters, Hilary and Stephanie along with two grandchildren Brodie and Emma.
